The Los Angeles Galaxy travel to Washington tonight as they take on DC United. Let’s hope the LA Galaxy can bring out a win in this game!
MLS.com previews the game by saying the following:
“A pair of clubs who have had a long and storied rivalry throughout the history of Major League Soccer meet for the only time this year when D.C. United play host to the LA Galaxy on Saturday evening at RFK Stadium. United return home off their first defeat of the season, falling 2-0 at the New York Red Bulls last weekend. The Galaxy are still undefeated on the new campaign, following their 1-1 draw with the Houston Dynamo last weekend at StubHub Center.”
To get you ready for this game, one of our CaliSports News writers wrote the recap of the LA Galaxy’s last game:
“Thirty-one minutes into the game, the Timbers’ Fanendo Adi shot a wonderful ball into the far post and gave Portland the lead for the next thirty minutes. Robbie Keane almost scored the first Galaxy goal in the 37th minute, but Nat Borchers prevented it. The Timbers defense and goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey foiled several other Galaxy attempts to score.
Finally, in the 65th minute, Jose Villareal crossed the ball into the sixteen and Gyasi Zardes tapped it past Kwarasey to tie up the game. In the 76th minute, Bruce Arena subbed in Alan Gordon for Villareal, and Zardes dropped to midfield.”
Let’s get this win Galaxy!!
