The Los Angeles Kings will look for the sweep when they take on the Minnesota Wild tonight. The Kings are currently perfect on this road trip as they have impressive wins against the Devils, Rangers, and Islanders.
Anze Kopitar played Superman in the Kings win on Thursday night over the Islanders. His goal with just over 4 minutes left in the game served to be the tiebreaker which extended the Kings streak to 3 in a row.
Nick Shore scored his first goal of his career on Thursday and the Kings look to be finding their groove.
Although the Kings have beaten the Wild twice already this season they did before the Wild acquired goaltender Devan Dubnyk from the Arizona Coyotes. Dubnyk is one of the best goalies in the league as he ranks 2nd in the league in goals against and save percentage.
Minnesota has won six of the last seven games and are playing some excellent hockey down the stretch of the regular season. The Kings will need to watch out for the combination of Zach Parise and Ryan Suter. Parise leads the team in goals scored (30) while Suter leads the team in assists (34).
Let’s make it four in a row! GO KINGS GO!
