The Los Angeles Lakers will host the Philadelphia 76ers tonight. The Lakers will look to keep improving their game, but they will be without Steve Nash indefinitely (as he announced his retirement yesterday), Nick Young, and Jeremy Lin who is listed as “Day-To-Day.” As for the Sixers, Thomas Robinson and Nerlens Noel will both be game time decisions.
The Lakers most recently had their lowest scoring total of the season in their loss to the Utah Jazz. That game marked the fourth consecutive and ninth in ten games. It is no secret that this season has been a struggle for LA and their 17-50 record shows it.
But, if they can take a small positive in the fact that they have a slightly better record than Philadelphia, who are boasting a 17-52 record. (Hey, I’ll take what I can!)
The Sixers have a bright spark in Nerlens Noel and if he plays tonight versus the Lakers, could bring some heat to the game. He put up a season high of 23 points, 14 rebounds, 5 steals and three blocks in their win against the Knicks. Noel may be one to watch!
