According to multiple reports, the Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin could return to play as soon as Sunday:
“As of today, Blake Griffin has been out of the game for a full three weeks after undergoing surgery to remove a staph infection in his right elbow. Coach Doc Rivers placed the idea in everyone’s mind that he could back by the end of the week.
As ESPN.com reports:
“I know he’s running and sweating and going full-tilt now,” Rivers said. “That’s good. I’m not sure what that means, not being there, but I know he’s working, and that’s all you can hope for. It’s a good sign.”
When Rivers was asked if Griffin was able to return to basketball activities, he said, “Yeah, I think so — shooting.”

The Los Angeles Clippers blew a fourth quarter lead and loss in overtime 98-93 to the Portland Trail Blazers.
“While the Clippers have fared quite well without Blake Griffin but they certainly can’t wait to have him back. In Griffin’s absence Chris Paul has had to step up and boy has he done that.
Coming off of a win against the Timberwolves on Monday the Clippers looked to duplicate that performance tonight. Paul lead the way and the Clippers were sitting pretty before a late collapse. Paul scored a season high 36 points to go along with 12 assists and 6 rebounds. J.J. Redick also scored big tonight as he had 26 points to go along with 4 rebounds. Speaking of rebounds that guy DeAndre Jordan continued his dominance. He scored 6 points but more importantly grabbed 19 rebounds.”
