We like to start our day searching the web and reading articles about our beloved LA sports teams. It’s easy to get lost in the depth of the inter web, but luckily for you we have compiled a list of the most interesting and pertinent news stories for your morning reading pleasure. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers.

Here is an excerpt from the recap of last night’s game:

“Whiteside dominated tonight’s game. He scored 17 points and had 25 rebounds to go along with 4 blocks tonight. Dwyane Wade had 25 points, 6 assists and 2 steals.  Goran Dragic added 21 points and 6 assists as well. Luol Deng chipped in 15 points of his own.

For the Lakers they had a balanced attack. Jordan Hill had a double-double off the bench. He scored 13 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Jeremy Lin had a strong game. He had 12 points, 9 assists to go along with 4 steals. Ed Davis also had a double-double off the bench with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Although the Lakers were able to contain the Heat from the three-point line they were unable to play defense without fouling. The Lakers gave up 43 free throws tonight and the Heat connected on 33 of them.”

The Washington Post details an ongoing battle between Nick Young and an ESPN anchor:

“A couple of weeks ago, Iggy Azalea, the girlfriend of the Los Angeles Lakers’ Nick Young, explained that he is terrified of dolphins because one once tried to kill him.

Swaggy P felt the need to elaborate and said that the dolphin in Cabo “was playing with everybody else, doing what dolphins do — the ‘ack ack’ and all that. It was my time to ride the dolphin. For some reason, he took me all the way to the bottom. He was trying to drown me. But I saw it happening so I jumped out of the water and took off the little life vest and threw off my little water shoes and stayed outside.”

For some reason, ESPN anchor Robert Flores chose to make a joke about Iggy, referring to the day of the dolphin in a way that really wasn’t funny.”
