The Los Angeles Lakers host the Los Angeles Clippers in Los Angeles.
The Clippers did not look like the same team that they were last season, in their opener against a short-handed team.

The Clippers struggled throughout. They didn’t shoot well, and they couldn’t build more than a 10-point lead but they brought home the “W.” Blake Griffin scored 23 points, making two clutch free throws with five seconds left in the game. Chris Paul added 22 while Oklahoma City Thunder lost another star to injury when Russell Westbrook broke his right hand.
The Los Angeles Lakers (0-2) traveled to Phoenix, Arizona to take on the Phoenix Suns (1-0) for their opener. The Suns fired on all cylinders last night as they easily beat the Lakers 119-99.
Newcomer Isiah Thomas of the Suns scored 23 points in his debut. His speed and quickness was too much for the Lakers guards to handle. Marcus Morris was able to spread the floor which made the Suns driving lanes easy. Morris hit 5 three pointers, more than the whole Lakers team combined.
Kobe Bryant put together his first 30 point game of the season. Bryant shot 11-25 from the field and scored 31 points.

“Bryant didn’t play against the Clippers last season but is averaging 30.6 points on 50.2 percent shooting his last 14 meetings.
Griffin averaged 25.3 points on 65.9 percent shooting in his last three games against the Lakers while Paul is averaging 12.1 assists in his last eight.”
