Nick Young received an MRI on his knee yesterday and the results were negative which is a good thing for a Lakers team that has already dealt with their fair of injuries.
BleacherReport.com reports the following:
“The Lakers will use a combination of Wayne Ellington, Jordan Clarkson and Ronnie Price at shooting guard depending on their lineups.
Young has battled through a number of injuries all season. He missed the season’s first 10 games while recovering from a torn ligament in his thumb suffered in training camp, bowed out for another three due to a sprained ankle and hurt his foot right before the All-Star break.
The Lakers, whose main goal at this point appears to be holding onto their top-five protected pick, haven’t shown discernible changes with or without him. They’ve been more competitive with him on the floor but are still getting outscored by a pretty significant margin per 100 possessions.”
Robert Sacre also underwent an MRI and the results came back negative as well. Young who was injured earlier this year is averaging 13.4 point per game.
Sacre who has been starting over the last 12 games is averaging close to 7 points and 6 rebounds over that stretch.
