The Lakers bench totaled 85 points and propelled the Lakers to victory 118-111 over the Boston Celtics. For the Lakers it has been a struggle this year and tonight they snapped a seven game losing streak.

Jeremy Lin dominated for the Lakers tonight as he scored a game high 25 points and 6 assists off the bench tonight. Wesley Johnson added 22 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals to add to the bench mobs fire power.

Nick Young added 19 points off the bench including three three-pointers. Jordan Hill added 10 points off the bench as well.

For the Celtics Isaiah Thomas came off the bench and scored 21 points. Jae Crowder added 22 points and 7 rebounds. Isaiah Thomas was also ejected from tonight’s game Avery Bradley added 20 points to go along with 5 rebounds. It would ultimately be Avery Bradley’s three-pointer at the end of the fourth that sent the two teams to overtime.

Lakers Nation summed up all of our feelings about the game going in to overtime:

The Lakers started overtime strong as they put up six straight points and took the lead 112-106. Nick Young even played defense which started his ascent for Defensive Player Of the Year. The Lakers were inspired by the newly named Stopper P, and put up some defense too.

LA were able to continue Boston’s unlucky 0-4 overtime struggles and hold on to beat the Celtics 118-111.
