Dunlap has been a part of the Chargers since 2013 and started in every game for the Bolts last season. He was named Lineman of the Year for the Bolts and is one of the most trusted men on the team. It was important to lock Dunlap especially with all the injuries the Chargers faced on the O-line last season.
Standing a six feet nine inches Dunlap is able to do a lot of things other O-linemen just can’t do. Phillip Rivers is especially happy with the re-signing. He spoke to the Chargers official team site about the deal.
“King has been top notch the last few years for us at left tackle,” said Rivers. “It’s very well-deserved for him personally and a huge signing for our team.”
This is the first of many moves the Chargers will make this offseason.
