According to Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com Garrett Richards threw his first bullepen session on Monday and looked great:
“Garrett Richards completed his first bullpen today. 20 pitches, all fastballs from the stretch. “Looked good, felt good,” Mike Butcher said.

Monday was the first time that Richards threw a bullpen sessions since he had knee surgery last year. Although he threw just 20 pitches this was a big step for him as he has been progressing quite well this offseason.
Richards was having his best season of his career before going down with the injury. He is still a few weeks away from being able to throw for extensive amounts of time but he is aiming to be ready by opening day.”

According to Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com the Los Angeles Angels have signed pitcher Matt Lindstrom to a minor league deal:
“#Angels announce they’ve signed veteran RH (and former closer) Matt Lindstrom to a Minor League deal with a Spring Training invite.

Jon Heyman of CBS.com reported some contract details if Lindstrom makes the major league team.
