The bullpen was a huge problem for the Dodgers last season and they have made strides to improve it this season. Earlier in the week news broke that their close Kenley Jansen will be out 8-12 weeks due to left foot surgery.
As the season quickly approaches, the Dodgers are looking to add someone to fill the void. Chamberlin is an option even though the Dodgers would benefit from a left-handed arm.
Chamberlin had spent most of his career in New York with the Yankees before joining the Detroit Tigers last season. With Detroit he appeared in 69 games posting a 2-5 record. He sported a 3.57 ERA with 2 saves.
It will be interesting to see what kind of price Joba is seeking. In the meantime the Dodgers open up Spring Training today!
