According to Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com the Los Angeles Angels have signed pitcher Matt Lindstrom to a minor league deal.

Jon Heyman of CBS.com reported some contract details if Lindstrom makes the major league team.

Lindstrom spent last season with the Chicago White Sox appearing in 35 games. He posted a 2-2 record with a 5.03 ERA. Gonzalez provided some analysis on Lindstrom.

Last season Lindstrom was unable to stay healthy as he suffered a ankle injury. He spent almost three months on the disabled list. Gonzalez also provided some information on the pitcher velocity last season.

As Spring Training begins in just a few days it will be interesting to see how the veteran will look. The Angels have high expectations for this season and we’ll have to wait and see if he can work his way into the bullpen rotation.
