Kenley Jansen Out 8-12 Weeks

According Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Time Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Kenley Jansen is set to have surgery on his left foot and miss extensive time.

The news of the surgery is blow for the Dodgers bullpen who struggled last season particular since Jansen was so good last year.

Last season Jansen posted a 2-3 record to go along with a 2.76 ERA and 44 saves. ESPN Stats & Info reported his strikeout rate was ranked in the top 5 in the league.

The Dodgers will need to look around a find a way to fill this void as soon as possible. Bob Nightengale of USA Today reported that the Dodgers could go after free agent pitcher K-Rod although the price may be steep.

With Spring training right around the corner the Dodgers will keep all options open. What do you think Dodger fans? Should the Dodgers go after K-Rod?
