We like to start our day searching the web and reading articles about our beloved LA sports teams. It’s easy to get lost in the depth of the inter web, but luckily for you we have compiled a list of the most interesting and pertinent news stories for your morning reading pleasure. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the Los Angeles Clippers.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports the Los Angeles Clippers are interested in signing free agent Amar’e Stoudemire.:

“Stoudemire, the former All-Star reached an agreement with the New York Knicks Sunday night on a buyout. He was in the final year of his max contract that he had signed with the team back in 2010.

Amar’e production has dropped almost every year since signing the contract with the Knicks and after being a part of losing as much as they have this season he made the decision that it was time for a change.

There are many teams interested in the six-time All-Star. Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders reported how the Clippers aggressiveness may change since they have been unable to get a trade to go down.”

J.J. Redick scored 17 points during his round of the 3-point contest:

“Redick made more than the 17 would indicate, but replay review had his foot on the line for at least three of the makes from deep, hurting his final score. In the end, Golden State’s Stephen Curry won the 3-point competition.

Before Redick ever started the competition, he joked about how he thought beforehand he might end up accidentally stepping on the line. So he said he actually wasn’t surprised when it happened.

“It’s like one of those things when you put it out in the universe, it’s just out in the universe,” Redick said. “Chris (Paul) since last year always jokes with me, I don’t shoot many long 2s with my foot on the line, but when I do, he gets on me. We have a little running joke about that, so whatever.”
