Los Angeles Clippers Cut Joe Ingles

According to Arash Markazi of ESPNLosAngeles.com the Los Angeles Clippers have waived Joe Ingles.

Joe Ingles is an Australian player who impressed scouts league wide with his play on David Blatt’s Maccabi Tel Aviv team last season. Ingles was a key part of the team that won the Euroleague Cup last season.

Ingles was also part of the 2008 Beijing Olympic games has he represented Australia. He also took part in the 2014 FIBA World Cup and had quite a nice showing. The small forward averaged 11 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds this summer.

Although Joe Ingles is a solid player it is safe to say that he was a long shot to make the Clippers roster this season. The Clippers usually load up on proven veterans to round out their bench like Hedo Turkoglu.

The Clippers roster is now down to 15 as they prepare to begin the regular season next week. The Clippers will open up against Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 30th at home.
