Chargers Lose To Tampa Bay, 38-31.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady showed why he’s the greatest of all time as the Buccaneers erased a 17 point deficit to defeat the Los Angeles Chargers, 38-31.

Rookie Justin Herbert faced off with Brady and looked very confident in the first half of this game. Everything was going right, the Chargers had a 10 point lead at the half, as he threw for three touchdown passes to three different receivers. Herbert stat line was 20/25 for 290 yards 3 touchdowns and an interception.

Brady went to work in the second half after touchdown passes to Cameron Brate and Mike Evans before the half, Brady found OJ Howard midway thru the third, Scotty Miller with 52 seconds left in the third quarter, and Ke’Shawn Vaughn on his final touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter. Brady ended the game out dueling Herbert with five different touchdown passes to Herbert’s three.

Fireworks broke out between the two teams when Mike Evans lost his cool and was assessed an unnecessary roughness penalty after shoving the Chargers’ safety, Rayshawn Jenkins.

The Chargers running game was hurting after Austin Ekeler left the game late in the first quarter with a hamstring injury, he might be out for 4-6 weeks. Keenan Allen left the game with an undisclosed injury.

The Chargers are now 1-3 and will face their third straight NFC South opponent, the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are coming off their big win over the Detriot Lions, 35-29. This game will be featured on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
