The Los Angeles Lakers will travel to Florida tonight to take on the Orlando Magic on the road. The Lakers are coming off of an overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

It will be an interesting night for both teams. The Los Angeles Lakers have the second worst record in the league and the Orlando Magic will be playing in their first game since their head coach, Jacque Vaughn, was fired.

The Magic’s assistant head coach. James Berrego, is stepping in for the moment. ESPN.com reports:

“We went into this season wanting to see some progress,” general manager Rob Hennigan said Thursday afternoon. “We wanted to see growth. We just didn’t feel like we were seeing the type of growth that we wanted to see. So that led us to this point.

“We find ourselves in a little bit of a rut … but it’s a road bump, not a road block. We will get through this.”

“I’m ready for the challenge,” Borrego said

The Lakers, on the other hand, are facing a different kind of battle. They will be taking on a team who hasn’t had more than two wins in a row. The Lakers are still struggling, and although they held the Bucks to overtime, the tam just couldn’t finish things off. That is including Carlos Boozer’s season-high of 28 points. Coach Byron Scott was short and sweet in his interview. ESPN.com reports the following:

“It makes you stronger, one way or another,” Scott said.
