Chargers Upset Green Bay, 26-11.

The Los Angeles Chargers pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the season, after stunning the Green Bay Packers, 26-11.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers wasn’t a major factor in this game. The Chargers’ defense was able to sack him three times. Not one of his best games, Rodgers only passed for 161 yards and threw the only touchdown to Jamaal Williams late in the fourth quarter.

The Chargers were led by the foot of Michael Badgley, who connected on four of five field-goal attempts in his first game of the season. The running game was alive and well in this contest. Melvin Gordan rushed 20 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns. Gordan showed some great athleticism as he leaped over a Green Bay defender for a nice gain. Austin Ekeler added 12 rushes for 70 yards as well. Mike Williams was Philp Rivers’ favorite target. Williams only caught three passes for 111 yards but was clutch when Rivers needed to get the team down the field.

Los Angeles is now 2-1 versus the NFC North with the Minnesota Vikings left later this season. This was the first win for Philip Rivers against the Green Bay Packers in his career.

Next up for the Chargers (4-5) is a Thursday Night game against their divisional rivals, the Oakland Raiders (4-4). The Raiders are coming to this game after they beat the Detriot Lions in Oakland, 31-24.
