Chargers Escape Chicago With A One-Point Win, 17-16.

The three-game losing streak is over! the Los Angeles Chargers win a tough game in Chicago against the Bears, 17-16.

With a second and eleven from the Chargers 22 yard line, Bears kicker Eddy Pineiro’s kick missed, wide left as time expired to give the Chargers the win. A very close call that could have gone either way. The game wasn’t pretty by any means, missed opportunities by both teams including a sure dropped touchdown pass by Keenan Allen in the endzone, early in the fourth quarter.

The 8:04 mark in the fourth quarter was the turning point of this game when Austin Ekeler took a short pass from Philip Rivers for an 11-yard pass to give the Chargers their first lead of the game and eventually the game-winner.

Philip Rivers had an average day, completing 19 of 29 for 201 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The running game was non-existent for the fourth straight game. As a team, the Chargers only rushed for 36 yards on 12 attempts.

The Chargers (3-5) will return home to Carson to face the Green Bay Packers (7-1). Green Bay outlasted Kansas City 31-24 on Sunday Night Football game of the week.
