Wil Nieves and San Diego Padres Come To Agreement

According to the San Diego Padres official team website the San Diego Padres have signed Wil Nieves to a minor league contract.

Corey Brock of MLB.com reported that Neives will likely challenege for the backup cathcer position.

Nieves spent time with the Philadelphia Phillies last year and made a 128 at bats. In his time he hit .254 with a .614 OPS.
Although a small signing the Padres are still making moves to sure up the roster. There is only 16 days until pitchers and catchers report to camp!
