By agreeing to terms the Angels and Richards avoid arbitration. Richards was off to a great start last season before he had surgery on his left knee for a torn patella tendon.
It was unfortunate since Richards was having such an awesome season. He was 13-4 with a 2.61 ERA, before the season ending injury.
He has set the goal to be healthy by the season opener but it is unknown if that will be possible or not.
Angels fans congratulate Garrett on the deal and look forward to seeing him on the mound next season!
