Toronto Maple Leafs Interested In Mike Richards?

According to Chris Johnston of Sportsnet the Toronto Maple Leafs and Los Angeles Kings have been in trade talks involving Mike Richards. Johnston reported that Maple Leafs general manager was in attendance for the Manchester Monarchs game last night.

Rumors began to circulate that Nonis was in attendance just to see Richards play. Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com cleared the air on Twitter.
Leafs GM Dave Nonis is taking in AHL game in Manchester tonight but it was a trip planned a while back, just FYI.

As the rumors began to catch fire he added.
In other words he didn’t booked the trip because Mike Richards was sent down this week!

He concluded his report confirming that the Leafs and Kings had been talking about the fallen hero for a while now.
Now, as many have reported before, LA Kings and Leafs have talked over last month. But Nonis is also going to other games this weekend

The Mike Richards saga continues to get more and more interesting as the Calgary Flames are also linked to him. It will be interesting to see what teams will offer for Richards before the deadline.
