Los Angeles Clippers vs. New Orleans Pelicans Start Time, Preview, TV
- Updated: January 30, 2015
The Los Angeles Clippers will take on New Orleans Pelicans tonight as they travel to Louisiana as part of their eight game road trip. The Clippers are coming off of a win against the Utah Jazz, and they are now on the lookout for their seventh consecutive win!
Coach Doc Rivers said the following in post-game interviews with NBA.com:
“Even if we’re struggling, we believe we can get stops,” coach Doc Rivers said. “Just keep getting stops.”
The news broke yesterday that Chris Paul has also been named to the All-Star team for the Western Conference. He will be a reserve for the starters.
The New Orleans Pelicans are struggling without their star Anthony Davis, and head coach Monty Williams said the following to NBA.com:
“Coach Monty Williams, though, said he hopes Davis can not only play against the Clippers, but handle his usual workload.
“He’s walking around, doing some stuff – nothing to break a sweat – but he’s walking around normally, so we’ll see how he feels” on Friday, Williams said. “If he feels up to it, we’re going to play him his normal minutes.”
The Clippers, who are now 32-14, were able to hold the Jazz to 17 fourth-quarter points and they shot 5-of-24 from 3-point range. They have given up an average of 92.8 points in the last five of six-games which is down from 101.7 in their previous 15.
Let’s hope the Clippers can win again tonight!
