Clippers Select Terance Mann With The 48th Pick

Clippers

After picking Seminoles big man Mfiondu Kabengele, the LA Clippers chose to stick with what they saw when they scouted Tallahassee and picked another Florida State player Terance Mann with the 48th selection in the draft.

Mann played guard all four seasons for the Seminoles, putting up 11.4 points per game and shooting 50.4% from the field and 39% from long range in his senior season.

Mann is intelligent defensively and fits what LA is looking for in their guards. Doc Rivers preaches two-way play from his wings, and Mann is a perfect example of what the Clippers will find to be useful in their current scheme. At 6’6″, Mann will be a perfect size for LA’s current guard lineup and can help out guarding multiple positions.

Mann doesn’t present the high upside potential of Kabengele but appears to be more NBA ready right away and could be a contributor to the team as soon as this season.
