Los Angeles Angels Avoid Arbitration With David Freese

According to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times the Los Angeles Angels have a agreed to a contract with third baseman David Freese.

By hammering out a contract the Angels were able to avoid arbitration. DiGiovanna also reported the details of the contact.

Freese will begin his second season with the Angels this year. Last year he hit .260 to go along with 10 home runs and 55 RBI.
The Angels did acquire prospect Kyle Kubitza this offseason. It is believed that he will step in and take over at third when Freese’s time is up with the Angels.
