Chargers Comeback On Pittsburgh, 33-30

One of the greatest comebacks in this team’s history, the Los Angeles Chargers beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh, 33-30.
After falling behind 23-7 in the first half, Philip Rivers hit Keenen Allen on a 10-yard pass that was deflected off a Steelers player. A successful two-point conversion cut the lead to 23-15. Desmond King‘s 73-yard punt return tied the game at 23.
The Chargers took the lead on Justin Jackson‘s 18-yard run. Pittsburgh even the score on a 10-yard run by Jaylen Samuels after James Conner departed the game with an injury. Philip Rivers led the Chargers downfield on an 11 play drive that took the final 4:10, setting up the final play, a 39-yard field goal attempt from Mike Badgley.
Badgley’s first attempt missed wide left, but the Steelers jumped offsides. His second was blocked but the Steelers were offsides for the second time. The final attempt was good from 29-yards and the Steelers were offsides for the third straight time but the penalty was declined and the Chargers escaped with a 33-30 win.
BOLT NOTES:
History was made in this game, the Steelers were 220-0-2 in the regular season when leading by 14 points or more, they led by 16 during this game.
NEXT UP FOR THE CHARGERS:
Los Angeles (9-3) will be back in Carson to take on the Cincinnati Bengals (5-7). The win helped the Chargers to maintain the top Wild Card spot in the AFC and the team is still one game behind the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West.
