Lakers Fall In Game One To Blazers 128-119

The Los Angeles Lakers kicked off the LeBron James era with a loss to the Portland Trailblazers on Thursday night 128-119.
There was much excitement for both sides at the Blazers honored the life of their owner Paul Allen before the game who passed away. Blazer fans were into the game making this game a tough atmosphere for the new-look Lakers.
James led the way for the Lakers scoring 26 points to go along with 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Brandon Ingram reached double-figures with 16 points, and Rajon Rondo recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 assists.
JaVale McGee also had a strong game. He had 13 points and 8 rebounds. Josh Hart scored 20 points off the bench. Kyle Kuzma added 15.
On the other side, Damian Lillard led all scorers with 28 points. CJ McCollum chipped in 21 and Jsuf Nurkic had 16 points and 9 rebounds in 17 minutes of work.
Nik Stauskas stole the show for Portland. He had 24 points including 5 three-pointers. In game one of the season, the Lakers struggled in the category many people have concerns about. They shot just 7/30 from behind the arch and gave up 14 offensive rebounds.
