Chargers Owner Alex Spanos Passes Away

According to Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Chargers owner Alex Spanos passed away at the age of 95.
Spanos family announces the death of patriarch Alex Spanos at age 95. “We have no words that can adequately express our sadness with his passing. We will continue to honor his legacy by dedicating ourselves to making a difference in the community and throughout our country.”

Eric Williams confirmed the news.
The Chargers announced the passing of owner Alex Spanos this morning. He was 95. Alex Spanos’ wife Faye Spanos died earlier this year in August at the age of 92. Funeral arrangements for Alex Spanos will be announced in the next few days.
