The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the San Antonio Spurs tonight in a game that ended 99-85.

The Lakers had to adjust their starting lineup as the news came today that Kobe Bryant would be out for a year, following a torn rotator cuff. Jordan Clarkson got his first career-start instead and was one of the team’s top performers.

The Spurs took off after setting up a 17 point lead for themselves in the first quarter

Nick Young led the team with 17 points, and Carlos Boozer led the team in rebounds with 7. Jeremy Lin was the only player on the Lakers bench to not play all night and he left the game without talking to any reporters.

For San Antonio, Tony Parker had 17 points, Kawhi Leonard had 15 and 14 rebounds, Manu Ginobili scored 15 and Tim Duncan added 14.

The Spurs took off after setting up a 17 point lead for themselves, and even though they went 6-23 in the third, they still managed to maintain a double-digit lead.

Up next, the Lakers will take on the Houston Rockets on Sunday in Los Angeles.
