The All-Star game weekend break is here and it could not have come at a better time.  With the Los Angeles Kings dropping games and giving away points like Oprah Winfrey used to give away free cars, this break in the schedule is the much-needed STOP button to hopefully halt this runaway train that has been free-falling so frighteningly in the last few weeks.
With superstars Drew Doughty, Anze Kopitar and the King’s adored and antagonistic mascot Bailey all playing this weekend for the All-Star game festivities and King’s coaches Daryl Sutter, John Stevens and Davis Payne participating in the fun as well, I found myself daydreaming and having fun thinking about what a “Best of all-time” Los Angeles Kings All-Star team would look like?  Using any player from the franchise’s 48 year history to fill out a 25 man team roster (like they do for the olympics), I built myself a Los Angeles Kings team like no other because let’s be honest, playing fantasy general manager right now is a heck of a lot better than writing and thinking about how bad the Kings are currently playing or even talking about an All-Star game that most people don’t care who wins.  So with that said, here we go!
