Dodgers Clinch Playoff Berth
- Updated: September 30, 2018
The Los Angeles Dodgers have clinched a playoff berth for the sixth straight season. Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times shared his thoughts on the news.
This ought to be appreciated, no matter what happens to the #Dodgers in the postseason. There are only three teams in MLB history with at least six consecutive postseason appearances:
14: Braves, 1991-2005
13: Yankees, 1995-2007
6: Dodgers, 2013-2018— Bill Shaikin (@BillShaikin) September 29, 2018
Shaikin reported further information.
The NL playoff field is set: Braves, Brewers, Cubs, Dodgers, Rockies.
Who plays who? That’s what tomorrow is for. Every game starts at noon PT.

Shaikin added more.
The Dodgers and Rockies are tied atop the NL West heading into Game 162.
The Dodgers will face rookie Andrew Suarez.
The Rockies will face three-time Cy Young winner Max Scherzer.
Tiebreaker, if needed: 1 pm Monday at Dodger Stadium.

After a rough start, there was some fear early on that the club would not be able to reach the playoffs. Now that they are in they will look to get back to the World Series.
