Brad Wieck Makes Major League Debut

On Friday night, the Padres continued their youth movement as another rookie reliever made his debut. Right-handed pitcher Brad Wieck made a great first impression as he pitched a scoreless eighth while the Padres were down 4-0. Prior to the game, the Padres announced Brad Weick will wear number 57 for the remainder of the season. Weick joins other rookies such as Jose Castillo, and Trey Wingenter in the bullpen. Should the bullpen continue its success, the Padres will have serious weapons in the later innings for years to come.
