Padres Best Mariners 2-1

The San Diego Padres used a strong outing from Bryan Mitchell and RBI double from Wil Myers in the 9th inning to beat the Seattle Mariners 2-1 on Tuesday night.
Mitchell started for the Padres and pitched 6 innings allowing 4 hits and 1 run. He walked 2 and struck out 2 as he was awarded the no-decision.
On the other side, Marco Gonzales got the start. He pitched 5 innings allowing 4 hits and 1 run. He struck out 2 and picked up the no-decision as well.
The offense got started in the 3rd inning when Robinson Cano hit his 8th home run of the year, a solo shot that put Seattle up 1-0.
In the 4th inning, Franmil Reyes hit an infield single that brought in Hunter Renfroe and tied the score at 1-1.
It was it Myers in the 9th inning that hit an RBI double that brought in Travis Jankowski and gave San Diego a 2-1 lead.
Kirby Yates came on in the 9th inning and picked up his 8th save of the year.
