DeAndre Jordan Signs With Mavericks

According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, All-Star center DeAndre Jordan has committed to signing with the Dallas Mavericks.
DeAndre Jordan and the Dallas Mavericks have scheduled a 12:01 a.m. meeting to immediately launch into free-agent negotiations and are expected to quickly reach terms on a new deal tonight, according to league sources.

DeAndre Jordan and the Dallas Mavericks have verbally agreed on a one-year deal approaching the $24.1 million option with the Clippers for next season that Jordan relinquished Friday, according to league sources

No deal can formally be signed until July 6, so both the Mavs and their new center will have to endure plenty of barbs and skepticism until then after what happened in 2015. Los Angeles had been planning on Jordan leaving for some time and accquired Marcin Gortat to replace the All-Star. With Jordan gone the Clippers have now loss Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Austin Rivers, J.J. Redick, and Jordan all players who were on their team two seasons ago.
