Dodgers Beat Cubs 7-5

The Los Angeles Dodgers used the long-ball to beat the Chicago Cubs 7-5. Los Angeles has now hit 51 home runs in the month of June.
Alex Wood got the start for the Dodgers. He pitched 7 innings allowing 7 hits and 3 runs. He struck out 6 and earned his 4th win of the year.
On the other side, Kyle Hendricks got the start. He pitched 2.2 innings allowing 8 hits and 6 runs. He walked 2 and struck out 1 as he picked up his 8th loss of the year.
Wilson Contreas got the offense going when he hit a 2-run home run that brought in Javier Baez.
Max Muncy followed with a solo shot that put Los Angeles on the board. Yasamani Grandal added to the inning when he hit an RBI double to right field that brought in Cody Bellinger and Kiki Herandez.
In the second inning, Joc Pederson hit a 2-run shot that was followed by an RBI single by Herandez. After the second inning, Los Angeles held a 6-2 advantage.
Jason Heyward brought in Ian Happ on an infield single. Contreras hit a 2-run double to cut the lead to 6-5 in the 8th inning. Bellinger hit a solo shot in the 8th inning to push the lead back up to 7-5.
Kenley Jansen came on for a four-out save and earned his 21st of the year.
