Padres Beat Cardinals 4-2

The San Diego Padres had a strong outing from their bullpen and beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-2 on Tuesday night.
For the Padres Matt Strahm got the start. He pitched 3 innings and struck out 4 as he was awarded the no-decision.
On the other side, Miles Mikolas got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 6 hits and 3 hits. He struck out 5 and picked up his second loss of the season.
The offense got started in the 4th inning when Eric Hosmer hit a solo home run that put San Diego on the board. A.J. Ellis followed with a 2-run single that brought in Cory Spangenberg and Freddy Galvis.
Christian Villanueva grounded out to short in the 7th inning that brought in Manuel Margot and pushed the lead to 4-0.
St. Louis put together a small rally in the 7th inning. Marcell Ozuna hit an RBI single that brought in Matt Carpenter. Yadier Molina followed with a grounded out to third base that brought in Tommy Pham.
Brad Hand came on in the 9th and picked up his 20th save of the year.
