Muncy Lifts Dodgers Over Braves

Max Muncy hit a home run in his third straight game and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 7-2 on Sunday.
Ross Stripling got the start for the Dodgers. He pitched 6.2 innings allowing 4 hits and 2 runs. He struck out 6 and picked up his 5th win of the year.
On the other side, Sean Newcomb got the start. He pitched 5.1 innings allowing 7 hits and 5 runs. He walked 2 and struck out 6 as he picked up his second loss of the year.
The offense got started in the 3rd inning when Logan Forsythe hit a solo home run. Matt Kemp followed with an RBI single that brought in Austin Barnes. Kiké Herández capped things off with an RBI single with Chris Taylor and the Dodgers led 3-0.
Ozzie Albies and Freddie Freeman hit solo shots in the 4th inning to cut the lead to 3-2. Muncy hit a solo shot of his own in the 5th inning. Forsythe hit an RBI double in the 6th inning and Muncy drew a walk with the bases loaded to push the lead to 6-2.
Herández hit a solo shot in the 7th inning to give the Dodgers a 7-2 victory.
