Mike Woodson Will Not Return To Clippers

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com, Los Angeles Clippers assistant coach Mike Woodson will return to the team to next season.
Assistant coach Mike Woodson won’t be returning to the Los Angeles Clippers staff next season, league sources tell ESPN. Woodson’s departure off Doc Rivers‘ bench will create an opening for a top-level, defensive-minded assistant.

Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times also reported the news.

Reports have surfaced that Woodson and New York Knicks head coach David Fizdale may work together again. Ian Begley of ESPN.com shared a quote from Fizdale.

Los Angeles will need to find a high-level assistant to take Woodson’s place.
