Angels Beat Baltimore 3-2

Justin Upton’s game-winning single in the bottom of the ninth gave the Los Angeles Angels a 3-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles, in the first of a three-game series.
The Angels only needed three runs and all of them came via an error, a homer, and a single.
Andrelton Simmons doubled to left and scored on a throwing error by Baltimore’s Manny Machado. The homer came off the bat of the next batter, Luis Valbuena to give the Halos a 2-0 lead.
In the top of the ninth, the Orioles even the score at 2, on three hits. Entering the ninth, the Orioles only had one hit, a double by Machado back in the first inning. Machado
redeemed himself of the delivering his second double of the game and scoring the Orioles tying run.
The game final run of the evening came with one out and the bases loaded when Upton singled and scored Chris Young from third to give the Halos the victory.
Cam Bedrosian (1-0, B,2) picked up the win and also had a blown save as well. Nick Tropeano started for the Angels and pitched 6-1/3 and allowed the one hit and struck out five Orioles.
HALO NOTES:
The Angels got back to the winning ways and ending their four-game losing streak.
NEXT UP FOR THE ANGELS:
Game two between the two clubs will feature a good pitching matchup. Dylan Bundy (1-3, 2.97 ERA) will start for the O’s.
The Angels will send Andrew Heaney (0-1, 6.91 ERA) to the mound in search of his first win of the season.
