Lakers Interested In Bringing Isaiah Thomas Back
- Updated: March 29, 2018
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com, the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in bringing point guard Isaiah Thomas back this offseason in free agency.
Below is an excerpt from Wojnarowski’s article.
“Despite a looming surgical procedure on his right hip, the Los Angeles Lakers continue to hold an interest in exploring a free-agent deal with guard Isaiah Thomas this summer, league sources told ESPN on Wednesday.”

Thomas was on an unbeliable run in Boston before he suffered the hip injury in the playoffs. He was then traded to the Cleveland Cavilers that involved Kyrie Irving and Thomas was never able to fit with LeBron James and the Cavs.
Thomas may elected not to have surgery in the summer and when he was traded at the deadline to Los Angeles many people were surprised. Thomas looked good at times with the Lakers but struggled with the hip injury still.
If Los Angeles is unable to sign a big free agent Thomas may be back with the club next season.
