The Los Angeles Lakers continued their road trip tonight in Phoenix as they took on the Suns. In the Lakers last game they played the Utah Jazz and fell 94-85.

Tonight the Lakers were without Superstar Kobe Bryant who was out due to rest. Starting point guard Ronnie Price also was out which meant that Jeremy Lin and Wayne Ellington both would get to start.

Through the first half the Lakers would be neck and neck with the Suns. The score was tied 51-51 with every single Laker that played scoring a bucket.

The Suns took control in the third quarter gaining a ten point lead. Through the fourth quarter the Lakers tried to make a comeback led by Nick Young but fell just short.

It was the Suns backcourt that killed the Lakers tonight. Goran Dragic scored 24 points on 11/15 shooting. He also added 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Isiah Thomas did some heavy damage. He scored 24 points as well to go along with 5 steals.

Not to be counted out Eric Bledsoe scored 17 points and dished out 7 assists. Gerald Green chipped in 13 points and Markieff Morris added 15.

For the Lakers Nick Young led the way with 24 points including 4 three pointers. Wesley Johnson and Jordan Hill each scored 12 points. Jeremy Lin had a double-double as he scored 10 points and had 10 assists.

It was the Lakers who shot themselves in the foot tonight. They turned the ball over 23 times and against a team that likes to get up and down that is a recipe for disaster.

Tonight’s loss makes it 5 in a row for the Lakers. They will take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday and Kobe Bryant is expected to play.
