Kings Host Oilers At Staples Wednesday Night
- Updated: February 7, 2018
The Los Angeles Kings will host the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night at the Staples Center. Los Angeles is coming off a 6-0 victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday night.
Edmonton has won five out of their last six games and is coming off a strong win over the Tampa Lightning on Monday night.
According to Jason Gregor of Oilersnation.com Darcy Kuemper will get the start instead of Jonathan Quick.
Quick is 21-3-5 in his career vs. Oilers, but Kuemper starts tonight. He’s posted consecutive shutouts while Quick has lost four of his last five starts. Even though backups haven’t been kind to #Oilers this year not seeing Quick should excite Oilers.

Josh Cooper of lakingsinsider.com reported that Jeff Carter will not travel with the team on their upcoming road trip.
Stevens said plan is for Carter to not be on the upcoming trip, though noted he is making progress. Martinez is a gametime decision
