We like to start our day searching the web and reading articles about our beloved LA sports teams. It’s easy to get lost in the depth of the inter web, but luckily for you we have compiled a list of the most interesting and pertinent news stories for your morning reading pleasure. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the San Diego Chargers.
ESPN.com discusses the top-three needs for the San Diego Chargers:
“Adding talent and depth on both sides of the ball up front, bringing in a big-time pass rusher and securing more playmakers on offense to help Philip Rivers are all things the San Diego Chargers need to address this offseason.
But which of these priorities come first? And how should Chargers general manager Tom Telesco use the draft, free agency and trade to fill these needs? Telesco said during his season-ending interview session with reporters that the draft remains the life blood of his roster-building effort. So it’s safe to assume Telesco will continue to use the draft to stockpile young talent as foundational pieces of the Chargers, while looking to free agency and trade to supplement weak areas on San Diego’s roster.
Here, we take a first look at what I consider the top three areas of need for the Chargers, and few options to fill those needs“

UT San Diego discusses how the San Diego Chargers would have done in the playoffs:
“A day after Mayor Kevin Faulconer pledged to come up with a plan this year to keep the Chargers in San Diego, the team’s key lobbyist for a new stadium railed against the city’s effort, predicting it will only further delay the years-long quest for a new playing field.
Online and on the radio, Chargers Special Counsel Mark Fabiani Thursday blasted the mayor’s office, saying it had ignored the one request the team had made in pursuing planning for a new stadium. It had asked that Steve Cushman, a key architect of a failed plan to finance an expansion of the convention center, not be involved in the stadium effort.”
