Chargers Sign Kicker Roberto Aguayo
- Updated: January 10, 2018
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, the Los Angeles Chargers have signed free agent kicker Roberto Aguayo.
Former Buccaneers’ kicker Roberto Aguayo is signing with the Los Angeles Chargers, per source. A fresh start in LA for the former second-round pick on a team that needs a kicker.

Jack Wang of the LAdailynews also reported the news.
Anthony Lynn prefers a young kicker who can grow with the Chargers. Roberto Aguayo, 23, fits the bill. Just signed a reserve/futures contract.
And as bad as Aguayo was in 2016, his 71% on FGs was far better than the Chargers’ 66.6% in 2017.

Aguayo was one of the best college kickers in recent history but struggled in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers connecting on only 71% of his kicks.
He bounced arounded with the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers but has not been back in actaul game yet. As more information surfaces on Chargers and their roster news we will keep you up to date.
