Clippers End Calendar Year With Win Over Hornets 106-98

The Los Angeles Clippers continue their strong play of late with a 106-98 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday night. Los Angeles has won five of their last six games.
The Clippers were without Austin Rivers who has been playing some of his best basketball of his career. Jawuan Evans got the start for Rivers. Blake Griffin flirted with a triple-double he scored 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.
DeAndre Jordan had 8 points and 16 rebounds, while Lou Williams had 40 points and had 8 assists. Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times reported news on Williams’ night.

For the Hornets Kemba Walker scored 30 points, and Dwight Howard had 10 rebounds but just 4 points on 1/9 shooting. Frank Kaminsky had 16 points and 8 rebounds off the bench. Jeremy Lamb had 12 points and 5 asssits, and Johnny O’Bryant III reached double-figures with 10 points.
Los Angeles will take on the Memphis Grizziles tomorrow night at the Staples Center. Fans can watch the game on NBATV at 7:30 p.m. PST
