Ducks Fall To Golden Knights 4-1

The Anaheim Ducks fell to the Vegas Golden Knights 4-1 on Wednesday night at the Honda Center. With the loss, the Ducks fell to 16-14-18 on the season while the Knights improved to 24-9-2.

The offense got started in the first quarter when Rickard Rakell scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Jakob Silfverberg and Brandon Montour. Late in the period, Vegas answered back with a goal of their own. Shea Theodore scored a snapshot goal that was assisted by Tomas Nosek and Oscar Lindberg. After the first period, the score was tied at 1-1.

In the second period, Cody Eakin scored a wrist shot goal. His goal was assisted by Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and pushed the lead to 2-1. Early in the third period William Karlsson scored a backhanded goal that was assisted by Jonathan Marchessault. David Perron capped things off with an empty net goal that was assisted by Erik Haula and Nate Schmidt and the Knights went on to win 4-1.
