The Los Angeles Kings will host their in-state rival Anaheim Ducks tonight. The Kings will also be able to honor Rob Blake tonight with retirement of his jersey.

Nick Shore will be expected to make his debut tonight. He said this in regards to their recent performances:

“I think as a whole, we’ve gotten off to a great start there in Manchester,” Shore told LAKingsInsider.com. “This year, I think I’ve taken a little more responsibility on both ends of the ice. I’m kind of known more offensively to score goals and things like that. But I think as a whole down there, we’ve done a great job so far.”

The Los Angeles Kings are coming off of a loss to the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday.

As for the Ducks, they are also coming off of a game against the New Jersey Devils, but they were able to win their matchup. The Ducks forward, Jakob Silfverberg ended his goal drought by scoring two. He told NHL.com this after the game:

“It’s been a long time, and it felt good to get a couple tonight,” he said. “Hopefully I can build off this and keep scoring more goals more frequently.”

NHL.com also reports, “The Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings have split two games, with each winning on home ice in extra time.”
