- Updated: November 22, 2017
The hits keep coming for the Los Angeles Clippers early in this 2017-18 season. As the Clippers prepare for their matchup with the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday night Adrian Wojnarowski reported and it was later confirmed by Head Coach Doc Rivers that Clippers starting Guard Patrick Beverly will miss the remainder of the season due to right knee surgery.
Clippers guard Patrick Beverley will miss the rest of the season, league sources tell ESPN. His surgery required a repair of a microfracture and meniscus injury to his right knee.

Beverly played and started in just 11 games this season averaging 12.2 points, 2.9 assists and a career high 1.7 steals per game. He got this season off with a bang, starting off the year in a highly anticipated matchup with Lonzo Ball where Beverly shut down the rookie and made headlines with his “first team defense” approach.
Beverly was the biggest asset the Clippers received in the summer trade involving Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets. Best known for his defense and hustle, Beverly has become known as “Mr. 94 feet” due to his non-stop effort all over the court.
The loss of Beverly is a massive hit to a Clippers team that is struggling to get things going early this season. The recovery from his injury is said to take 9 months.
Currently sitting on a 9 game winning streak, Los Angeles hopes to turn things in the right direction tonight against the Hawks.
