- Updated: January 16, 2015
Going into today’s 2015 MLS SuperDraft, the LA Galaxy had a shopping list and they were out to get what they needed in order to start cooking up another MLS Cup Title. The team ended up selecting Ignacio Magnato of Iona College.
They were specifically on the prowl for players to add depth at left back, and a goalkeeper. The LA Galaxy were given three draft picks to work with, number 21 in the first round, number 62 in the third, and number 82.
The Galaxy used their 21st pick on a 23 year-old forward from Iona College, Ignacio Magnato. He spent four years at Iona and managed to score 27 goals and 14 assists during his time there. In his senior year, Magnato hit his career-high and scored 11 goals with 5 assists and was named NSCAA All-Northeast Region First Team, ECAC All-Star First Team and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Offensive Player of the Year.
