Ball’s Triple-Double Not Enough In Lakers Loss To Bucks

Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball recorded his first career triple-double but it wasn’t enough as the Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night 98-90. Los Angeles now sits at 5-8, 3 games below .500.

Kyle Kuzma led the Lakers in scoring with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Ball had 19 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds while Brook Lopez added 10 points. Julius Randle was one rebound shy of a double-double off the bench with 17 points and 9 rebounds.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for the Bucks with 33 points and 15 rebounds. Khris Middleton added 13 points while Eric Bledsoe added 11. Malcolm Brogdon and Matthew Dellavedova each reached double figures with 16 and 10 points respectively.

The Lakers committed a season-high 21 turnovers and missed 15 free throws that ultimately lost them the game. Magic Johnson tweeted out his excitement for Ball and his first career triple-double.

Los Angeles will continue their road trip to Phoenix on Monday night against Devin Booker and the Suns.
